verunka	10:21p	deer + floor on saturday we got up early to go move a deer. a hunter friend of cheryl's had killed it and saved it to her here are some brains poor deer andrew and caleb loaded it up into the van to be taken to a butcher i was kinda fascinated by the dead deer if you can't tell dead deer + mini van then we headed over to peter and julie's to redo their kitchen floor. here's a couple before pictures: and a picture of ally with a giant pumpkin and a "during" picture and caleb inside the cabinet space and peter with a crazy blurry hand and the treasure map that i made to hide behind the dishwasher when we put it back treasure map'd! i would call this my "after" picture, but we left before it was 100% complete. we'd done most of it and left peter to finish up the details. but look how pretty... verunka	10:20p	thanksthanksthanksgiving / my husband is a cat thanksgiving day was tasty and fun. there was lots of yummy food. i made stuffing too to add to the mix. after we were all fat and lazy from food we played lots of games and had a lazy day. caleb was here too, and ally, and peter and julie and annabelle and julie's belly as well as the normal home residents. we also watched up and cried again. heh. oh man, and get this - one night we're sitting downstairs and the cats are on the chair cleaning each other. andrew kneels over near them and starts pretending to lick them too. then he just laid his head down on the chair, hoping they would all cuddle up and sit with him... but they didn't. they took him in as one of their own and starting licking him back. oh my gosh, it was seriously hilarious they kept it up for about 5 minutes and left a nice little swirl in husband's hair. oh gosh, hysterical. my husband is a cat. andrew went shooting with peter and jim and some of peter's friends. he had a bit of success. later we stopped by the grandparents to say hello, and i snagged a picture of *one* of her precious moments curio cabinets.. haha. then we went to vicki and pat's for pizza with all the nieces and nephews and grandniece. it was a good evening and good to catch up with vicki and pat. verunka	10:20p	we have a home - yay! on wednesday we traveled down to MD and signed the papers for our house! we're really excited. they also thought we were newlyweds (6 months was their guess) so that was fun. yay - a home, finally. we've been officially looking since may when we took a trip out here. wow... only took 6 months. heh. verunka	10:19p	kiss tag can be dangerous we watched some planet earth but it was over dubbed by an american and not nearly as enjoyable as the british voice guy. silly americans. husband also acquired and played gta iv and we ate dinnerchiladas. we're really hopeful for our house. verunka	9:57p	sunshine nap in november!!! + massive computer failure! we saw our church friends today and chatted with them again. then we had lunchiladas which were ever so tasty! we played some stratego with each other, which was pretty fun. then i went outside on our little deck and took A NAP IN THE SUNSHINE. IN NOVEMBER. BOO YAH. I LOVE GLOBAL WARMING. no, but for real, i don't know if i could have been happier than to lie up on the angly-roof thing in the warm, enjoyable sunshine. yay yay yay. then husband had more windows 7 fail. he'll end up working on it for hours and hours and hours, trying to get anything to work. in the middle of this he will be unable to boot from cd for 7, xp, or anything useful. eventually we'll test it with the windows 2000 cd that i've had in the console of my car for the last 4 years and it will actually boot from cd, but then we're kinda stuck with not being able to put a decent OS on it.... *sigh* here are some pictures. we got a "christian yellow pages" and i liked this "lion & lamb" advertisement oh, and the scripturloons was another favorite and here's another awesome item - christian valentine's hearts.. wow. sometimes this christian branding is just ridiculous... then here is the most traumatizing ad i've ever seen before in my life from the newspaper. there's clearly been some horrible photoshop, but also lots of "what???" so in the next saga of husband's computer crisis, he decided he was just going to format and start completely over. except his computer was SUPER confused as to how much space he had on his drive. note the partition sizes - 2T, 1 MB, 1.7T, and 82G ...and note the total disk space - 131G. yeeeeeeeeah... the computer's pretty confused. verunka	9:38p	new home maybe? on sunday we got ready for church and then once downstairs we realized that we were *both* dressed up like where's waldo. yeah, we're awesome. you know it. we met a couple about our age at church - alina and bryan and chatted with them until quite a bit after church. it was cool to talk to people and make new friends. afterwards we went for a pleasant walk because it was warm outside, yay. i chatted on the phone with rob and husband played with his new mac. then we went for yet another walk in the evening, because it was *still* nice out. on monday there were some work stresses/issues that made me stressed. oh well.. after work we went to aldi and made 75¢ on the carts, so that was a win. on thursday we had tiff and gene over for a tasty dinner and good company. we ate dinner and then played some rock band and all had a good time. also, this week husband tried to install the windows 7 that he got from mikey but it end up murdering his computer. on saturday we headed down to MD again to try to find a home. we stopped at a park and ate lunch. and saw a squirrel eating a lovely lunch out of a trash can. then we used this restroom that was kinda awesome and stainless and shiny the sink was cool but really confused me. then we walked by a marina and saw this house boat that we wanted to live on! it looked pretty cozy inside too now seriously, how awesome would it be to live on a stinking house boat? anyhow, then we met for our apartment and saw this home that we really liked. it's a small 1 bedroom home on 1.5 acres. it has been remodeled recently and it has been well maintained. we really liked it and left "thinking about it" but then immediately called back and said that we'd take it. we went back to the office to do some paperwork immediately. then we celebrated our excitement with some qdoba! verunka	9:35p	mikey the jew on saturday we decided to drive up to somewhere, nj and visit mikey the jew! yay, mikey. we saw his pad, met this pet rats. husband was excited to play with them and be their friend mikey was going to take us out for irish food but we got there and there was an hour.5 wait, so we opted to go back home for pizza. we met mikey's grandmother, from whom he rents his upstairs apartment. seriously, nana is like 85, but looks ridiculously young. she got out of the car (from her date with "her boyfriend with no teeth," as she said) and was wearing these stylish high heel boots and a sleek coat, and her shoulder-length hair was straight and pretty. it was pretty amazing. so we ate tasty local pizza and chatted with mikey about his job, his life and his girl. he's doing well, if you'd like to know. then we watched the newest office and found out he was went to high school with the jonas brothers oh, and mikey gave husband a mac! yeah, he had an old *something* mac in his closet and when husband mentioned that he had been looking for one to fiddle around with.
